Ever wanted to try a Pure Barre class but weren’t sure where to start? Or maybe you’re already a barre pro looking for a challenge? Pure Barre Greensboro has the perfect event for you—a 24-hour Barre-A-Thon. And the best part? Every tuck, pulse, and plié you do will help grant wishes for children facing critical illnesses.
What’s Happening?
From 8 a.m. on March 21 to 8 a.m. on March 22, Pure Barre Greensboro is offering a free barre class every hour, on the hour, for 24 hours straight. That’s 24 opportunities to get your heart pumping and your muscles shaking, all while supporting Make-A-Wish Central & Western North Carolina.
Whether you’re a seasoned barre enthusiast or a total beginner, these classes are for everyone. All you need is a little enthusiasm, some comfortable workout gear, and a willingness to participate in a great cause.
Why Should You Join?
It’s Free – No class fees, no excuses. Just show up, take a class, and if you’re able, donate to help grant a wish.
It’s Fun – Where else can you work out with a community of energetic, like-minded people at all hours of the day and night? Midnight barre class, anyone?
It’s for a Life-Changing Cause – Every donation helps Make-A-Wish grant wishes for children with critical illnesses. The goal is to fund one full wish, and with your help, that can happen.
Meet the Team Behind the Event
This event wouldn’t be possible without Jennifer Stone Carelli and Christina Cromwell Buchanan, the owners of Pure Barre Greensboro. These local entrepreneurs aren’t just passionate about fitness—they are also dedicated to giving back to the community.
Christina Cromwell Buchanan is a long-time Make-A-Wish volunteer and past chair of the Kentucky Derby Classic, one of the organization’s biggest fundraising events in the Triad. Her commitment to Make-A-Wish inspired this Barre-A-Thon, and she is excited to see how the power of movement can help make wishes come true.
